The facts took place on July 27 but were revealed on Tuesday: the property of Patrick Bruel, in Vaucluse, was targeted by fires.
Several fires broke out that day near the singer’s estate, in L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, explains “Vaucluse Matin”. Firefighters intervened and managed to control the flames before they spread to the vegetation of the singer’s property, just on the other side of a “solid fence” which surrounds his property.
At the start of this week, the ground remained blackened over a hundred meters, although the vegetation has since partially regrown.
“It’s criminal,” says a judicial source in the French daily. And to assure: “it is the property of Mr. Bruel which was targeted”.
A procedure is said to be underway but the courts have not commented on the case. The 67-year-old artist’s lawyers have not yet commented either.
Patrick Bruel is accused of harassment or sexual violence by around thirty women. He is indicted for rape, attempted rape, assault or sexual harassment of four women. He disputes the facts, is presumed innocent and his judicial control was reduced last week.
