Bad evening for Friborg against Ambri-Piotta

Friborg had a bad evening of the day with an Ambri-Piotta team unstoppable in defense, Joly twirling to intercept a lot of passes and avoid shots. Wütrich was also very solid, just like his uprights, which saved him twice.

In the first third, Freiburg took a long time to get past Wütrich and were unable to take advantage of a penalty imposed on Grassi. Muller was able to take advantage of this apathy to score the first biancoblu goal of the evening.

The second period was very poor in chances and emotions despite Rathgeb’s attempt to wake up the crowds. His penalty did not allow the game to open up and the score did not change in the middle third.

The final third ended up bringing some emotions after fifteen minutes and Schnarr’s goal. Galley came out of his cage very early and De la Rose was able to give his team some hope but in the end, a penalty against Järventie did nothing and Ambri-Piotta was able to move ahead of Friborg in the standings.

In the other evening meetings in French-speaking Switzerland, Bienne took out Ostlund in the cage and it paid off. 4-3 victory against Davos with a winning goal thirty seconds from time. For its part, Lausanne ended Zurich’s perfect series but ended up losing 3-2 in overtime.
