Bayern corrected Union Berlin, of Swiss coach Mauro Lustrinelli, 7-0 Friday evening in its Allianz Arena at the opening of the 4th day of the German championship, with a hat-trick from Michael Olise, sparkling again, and a double for a Harry Kane record.

With 10 points on the clock after four days, Vincent Kompany’s men are putting pressure on Friborg and Dortmund, the only two Bundesliga teams to have won their first three league matches, and who travel on Saturday to Frankfurt (3:30 p.m.) and Stuttgart (6:30 p.m.) respectively.

After Jamal Musiala’s opener (18th), Harry Kane converted a penalty caused by Michael Olise (39th). The Englishman thus scored his 100th goal in the Bundesliga after 98 matches, a new record for the German championship.

Before Kane, Dieter Müller held the previous record. The FC Cologne striker took 129 matches to reach 100 Bundesliga goals in the early 1970s.

Just before half-time, Olise found Rönnow’s net for the first time with a superb left-footed shot at the near post (43rd), before delivering a perfect cross for Kane, who scored his double (54th).

The Olise show was only just beginning, because after a goal from Ismael Saibari (70th), his first with Bayern, the 24-year-old French international scored two more in the space of three minutes, first with the help of the post after a sumptuous control of a long ball from Tom Bischof (73rd), then with a curling left shot 20 meters from Rönnow’s goal (76th).

With his first hat-trick with Bayern, which he joined in the summer of 2024, an assist and a penalty caused, Olise confirms his start to the season at a crazy pace, with already eight goals and three assists in seven matches, in all competitions.

After the long international window at the end of September and beginning of October, Bayern will travel to neighboring Augsburg, with a trip to Norway in Stavanger, to face the Viking.
