French comedian and YouTuber Greg Guillotin was taken into police custody this Monday morning in Essonne. He is accused of domestic violence and harassment by a former partner.
The complaint was filed in mid-June with the public prosecutor of the Évry judicial court, recalls RTL. The complainant accuses the 43-year-old hidden camera specialist of repeated physical and psychological violence allegedly committed between 2019 and 2026, with a phenomenon of control.
He was placed in police custody for “habitual violence against a spouse or ex-spouse with total incapacity for work for more than eight days and harassment of a spouse or ex-spouse,” Grégoire Dulin, Évry prosecutor, told AFP.
The comedian had admitted the facts, at least in part. Saying that he intended to “neither deny nor justify” the violence, he expressed his “shame”.
“He is not trying to shirk and intends to assume his responsibilities,” his lawyer, Me Tom Michel, told RMC. The lawyer specified that the hearing had been planned for several weeks and that the comedian “intends to respond fully to the facts with which he is accused, to make his version heard and to provide all the elements useful to the investigation”.
