The actress Sandra Bullock spoke, as rarely, to her friend Jennifer Aniston, as part of a cross-interview for the American magazine Magazine interview. During this interview, she talks about “a very dark period” of her life. The Gravity actress talks about the months preceding her divorce in 2010, with Jesse James, a 57-year-old American, automobile entrepreneur and columnist in certain specialized shows.
Sandra Bullock and Jesse James were married in 2005 and separated after the press reported her ex’s infidelities in 2010. The American was then in the spotlight after winning the Oscar for best actress for the film “The Blind Side”. Many women, including strippers Michelle McGee and Melissa Smith, spoke out in the American media and revealed that they had had relationships with Jesse James during his marriage.
A particularly critical moment for the 62-year-old actress, who had just adopted a child in the greatest of secrets. “I was raising and protecting a little bundle of joy, while trying to grieve the loss of my marriage and get out of that situation,” she confided to Jennifer Aniston.
The couple had adopted a child, Louis, barely a year old. Aware of the impact that the revelations would have had in the celebrity press, Sandra Bullock did everything to preserve her son’s image with the paparazzi. She implemented a scheme which consisted of placing her son’s car seat in a large hockey bag, without closing it completely. “All I had to do was carry the bag to the car, as if it contained nothing unusual,” she explains. When the affair of infidelity broke out, her ex Jesse James apologized in a press release: “There is only one person to blame in this situation, and that is me. Because of my bad judgment, I deserve every bad thing that happens to me. This has caused my wife and children more pain and humiliation than can be imagined and I am extremely saddened to have inflicted this on them. I am sincerely sorry for the harm I caused them.”
After this painful experience, Sandra Bullock never remarried. In 2015, she reconnected with love, thanks to her relationship with Bryan Randall, an American photographer whom she met at her son Louis’ birthday party. Unfortunately, in 2023, the actress experiences a new tragedy in her life: her companion dies from Charcot’s disease on August 5, 2023.
