At 40, Casey King displays a spectacular transformation. Because six years ago, this American participated in the reality TV show “My 600-lb Life” and his weight then exceeded 380 kilos and severely limited his daily life.

During the filming of the show, broadcast in 2019, the simplest actions, such as washing or finding suitable clothes, had become difficult. Unemployed, he lived with his father and said he spent much of his time eating and playing video games.

Casey King feared his eating habits were putting his life in danger. Now, he weighs around 111 kilos, according to his Instagram account, and is getting closer to his personal goal of 102 kilos. Since the show, he has lost nearly 270 kilos.

“Happier than ever”

This development is the result of several years of effort. Casey King underwent stomach reduction surgery, while adopting a strict diet and regular exercise. He also recently underwent surgery to remove excess skin: around nine kilos of tissue were removed from his stomach, arms and lower back. After the procedure, he reassured his subscribers on Instagram: he feels good and his convalescence is going as planned.

This transformation also changed his relationship to life. At the end of 2024, Casey King wrote that he felt “happier than ever” and had evolved enormously on a personal level.

He confides that he never imagined arriving at 40 in such shape. His community today salutes his determination and sees in his journey proof that it is possible to take control of one’s life, even after difficult years.
