Three-star chef Gérald Passedat was “slightly” injured by a man armed with a knife who stole a luxury watch from him on Tuesday evening in Marseille, in the south of France, we learned from a police source on Wednesday.
The chef of the establishment “le Petit Nice” – three stars in the Michelin guide – was attacked shortly before midnight on his way home, in a central district where his restaurant is also located.
The attacker armed with a knife stole a watch estimated at 58,000 euros (a little less than 55,000 francs) and “slightly” injured him in the neck before fleeing, according to the police source. His watch was Swiss, specifies “La Provence”: it is a Patek Philippe.
Situated on the rocks of Maldormé Cove on the edge of the Mediterranean, Le Petit Nice is the first restaurant in Marseille to have won, in 2007, three stars from the famous Michelin Guide.
