The Parisian home of RTL and M6 journalist Anne-Sophie Lapix and her husband Arthur Sadoun, president of the Publicis group, was the subject of a new burglary attempt. During the night from Monday to Tuesday, an armed individual managed to enter their property, before fleeing.
The alert was given by the couple’s domestic worker. While inspecting the premises, the latter noticed that a lemon tree in the courtyard had been moved in a suspicious manner. She immediately notified the journalist who was traveling abroad at the time.
From her smartphone, Anne-Sophie Lapix remotely viewed the recordings from the video surveillance cameras. The footage confirmed that a man with a gun climbed over the exterior gate to enter the courtyard. It was the accidental activation of the automatic security lighting that caused the criminal to panic and force him to flee the scene.
This is the fifth attempted intrusion or burglary targeting the couple in the space of three years. In January 2024, a violent “home-jacking” attempt was narrowly avoided thanks to the unexpected return of the journalist’s son. Five suspects were then arrested and charged.
