However, the singer, while speaking, involuntarily expelled what looked like a leftover piece of candy from his mouth. And the briefly flying object landed exactly on top of the pink microphone he was holding in his hand.
The British star realized this. In a move he surely hoped would be discreet, Robbie Williams retrieved his candy and tucked it into his left hand. Except that when it comes to discretion, it’s hard to do worse: a few moments later, while arranging his hair, he stuck it on his own forehead… The white waste was then visible as clearly as a nose in the middle of a face.
The video went viral and suspicious minds even wondered if the person who performed “Desire” during the final between Spain and Argentina had not spit out some leftover cocaine. But as a good communicator, the popstar reacted in a video published Monday on Instagram.
Robbie Williams appears when he wakes up, in his bed. Seeming very serious, even serious, he says: “I want to apologize for what happened on my microphone. It was very unprofessional and apparently people are worried about me…”
Then the singer, with a smile, opens his mouth wide and sticks out his tongue, on which two mint pastilles appear. “It’s all good, because I still have more!” he laughs.
