The indictment for rape of scenographer Julien Mairesse was widely publicized last September in France. Because he is a renowned scenographer, who has worked for Aya Nakamura, Gims and Dadju as well as for very large events. And also of the former spouse of Florence Foresti, father of her daughter.
However, it was not known who accused him. The information is now known: on Saturday in an interview with “Parisien”, comedian Elena Nagapetyan decided to announce that it was she who had filed a complaint.
The 38-year-old artist with a million subscribers on Instagram, famous for her vignettes on social networks as well as her improvisations with her audience, recounts a forced relationship which, according to her, went as far as rape on June 13, 2025.
According to his testimony, Julien Mairesse managed to rush into his hotel room. “He grabs me by the throat and throws me on the bed, takes off my jeans. I try to stop him, to get up, but he is much stronger than me.
“I hope that my testimony will resonate with those who suffer in silence, and that it will give them the strength to no longer remain silent,” the comedian wrote on Instagram on Sunday. “Our word may be doubted, our reputation tarnished. The road will be long and trying. But I want to believe that society is changing, that mentalities are evolving.”
Elena Nagapetyan says she still lets justice do its work, and continues in her life “as a woman, a mother, an artist”.
Julien Mairesse “categorically contests” the accusations. “It was she who invited him to her hotel room where they engaged in foreplay without ever going beyond,” said her lawyer in the French daily.
