Patrick Bruel cancels his concerts at summer festivals

The singer and actor Patrick Bruel, targeted by sexual assault and rape charges by around thirty women, several of whom filed a complaint, announced on Friday the cancellation of its concerts planned at festivals between June and September, so as not to “disturb the serenity of these demonstrations”, indicated its production company.

“Several festival organizers have reported feeling pressured and being prevented from calmly organizing their events. We in no way wish to expose either the organizers or the public to a climate of tension,” wrote 14 Productions, a company managed by Patrick Bruel, in a press release.

His planned tour dates outside of festivals are being maintained. He is scheduled to perform at the Geneva Arena on November 18.

The singer was notably due to perform at the Pully Live Festival. The director of the event assured Tuesday maintain his concert, scheduled for June 25, despite pressure from the Socialist Party and the PLR ​​who are calling for its cancellation.

This week, the Bellarena Indoor Festival in Friborg announced the postponement of its concert scheduled for June 26. The organizers explained that they wanted to “give justice time to establish the facts with the necessary hindsight and objectivity”.

Earlier Friday, Mediapart had already revealed that the singer would not participate in the next edition of Enfoirés, scheduled for January.
