Micro-farms sell their exclusively live production or short circuit. They offer a different way of producing and above all to market their production in relation to traditional farms.
For example, La Rocambole is an associative micro-farm located in Blonay-Saint-Légier which delivers in the summer season the restaurant of the La Malavier campsite in La Tour-de-Peilz.
This micro-farm has grown since 2023 on an area of around 3000 m² and offers baskets from mid-March to December. Plant markets are also organized in the spring.
The market gardeners of the micro-farm, Tania and Lolita, cultivate a wide variety of vegetables in their fields, and can thus offer a wide range of products at the restaurant in the disease.
For the chief, Lou Koenig, the collaboration with La Rocambole allows him to have “ultra-fresh, local and quality products!”. All of his menu revolves around room and organic, and adapt to unsold and production peaks stimulate his creativity. Sometimes Lou, the chief, does not hesitate to move to the rocambole to pick directly in the different vegetable fields and even flowers that it will then cook. Coming and picking in the garden gives him inspiration.
The market gardeners and the chef share the love of good products!
