Mount Airy Volunteer Fire Company responded to a reported house fire on the 8500 block of Woodville Road on June 4th

At approximately 3:30 PM yesterday, the Mount Airy Volunteer Fire Company responded to a reported house fire at the 8500 block of Woodville Road.

Upon arrival, firefighters found flames extending up the side of the home and into the attic.

Truck 1 was the first to arrive on scene and assisted in venting the roof. Incident command was established by Chief 1, and firefighters remained on site for around 2 hours before returning to service.
