Severe storms rolled across southern Carroll County, spawning a pair of possible tornadoes on June 5th

Gamber tornado

Just after 8:00 p.m., severe storms rolled across southern Carroll County, spawning a pair of possible tornadoes.

Sykesville units were dispatched to assist Gamber & Community Fire Company in their first due for several damaged houses, numerous trees down and wires down.

The county Advanced Technical Rescue unit was brought in to assist along with ATVs from several departments to systematically assess the area for damage and other needs.

There were no injuries reported. BGE has crews in the area working to restore power.
