Reported by Sykesville Freedom District Fire Department on March 7th:
Around 9:45 am on March 7 units from Sykesville were alerted for a possible commercial building fire in the 500 block of Johnsville Road. Engine 123, Tower 12 and Chief 12-3 responded shortly after dispatch
When crews arrived they found the awning outside of a restaurant on fire. Crews quickly extinguished that fire and the minor extension to the building. Crews operated on scene for approximately 2 hours before returning to service. Chief 12-3 held the command for the duration of the incident.
