Howard County Fire crews responded to an apartment building fire in Columbia on March 5th

Reported by Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services on March 6th:

Around 9:00 pm yesterday (March 5th), crews responded to an apartment building fire in the 10500 block of Twin Rivers Road in Columbia. Firefighters arrived to find smoke visible from the third floor of the building. The fire was quickly brought under control.

One occupant was evaluated for possible smoke inhalation but refused transport. There were no reported firefighter injuries. Three apartments were posted, one for fire and smoke damage and two for water damage. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Office of the Fire Marshal.
