FPD Makes Arrest in Residential Burglary

On February 28, 2024, at approximately 1:49 PM, officers of the Frederick Police Department responded to the area of the 1400 block of Mobley Ct for a report of a residential burglary. Officers were alerted to a male breaking into a residence. Upon arrival, officers located a male in the area matching the description provided. The individual was later identified as Quentin Bassey (DOB: 11/09/2005) of Silver Spring, MD, and was subsequently placed under arrest. Further investigation revealed that Bassey had broken into the residence of an acquaintance, attempted to assault the occupants of that residence, and stole property before fleeing the scene.

Bassey was transported to Frederick County Adult Detention Center, where he is being held without bond.
