Mount Airy Police look to identify subject in theft of gasoline at Ridgeville Service Center on January 7th

CASE 2400009; THEFT OF GASOLINE

THEFT OF GASOLINE // 4 E RIDGEVILLE BLVD // SUNDAY, JANUARY 7TH, 2023


On 1/7/24 at approximately 1730 hours, MAPD officers were dispatched to Ridgeville Service Center, 4 E Ridgeville Blvd, in reference to the theft of gasoline. An unknown white male, approximately 6ft in height and 200 pounds, pumped $35.19 dollars worth of gasoline into his vehicle without paying. The suspect was seen operating a damaged black Ford Ranger pickup truck. It was reported that the bed of the truck contained a generator and a leaf blower. The suspect had obscured the front and rear registration plates of the vehicle with rags in order to avoid identification. The suspect vehicle is pictured in this case, as well as a stock photo of a Ford Ranger.

MAPD is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the pictured suspect. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Mount Airy Police Department at 301-703-1375.
