If you have been watching the news you know by now we are expected to see some snow tomorrow (Saturday January 6, 2024). How much…well the predictions seem to be all over the place. I feel like I have seen everything from slushy mix to 6 inches of snow posted over the past few days.

The National Weather Service now lists Carroll County as under a Winter Storm Watch. Here are some of the details:

…WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY MORNING THROUGH SATURDAY EVENING…

* WHAT…Heavy mixed precipitation possible. Total snow accumulations in excess of five inches, and ice accumulations up to two tenths of an inch are possible.

* WHERE…Washington, Frederick MD and Carroll Counties.

* WHEN…From Saturday morning through Saturday evening.

* IMPACTS…Travel could be very difficult.
