On September 26th, 2023, at approximately 11am, Deputies from the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a home on Westview Road for the report of a possibly suicidal individual who was believed to be in possession of a handgun. Upon arrival, Deputies were able to begin communicating with the individual, but he eventually ran on foot from the residence into a nearby wooded area.

Believing that he may still be armed, Deputies created a perimeter and continued attempts to communicate by cell phone.

Communication continued on and off, with the subject staying in the wooded areas and fields near the intersection of Ridge Road and Baker Road. At approximately 4:04pm, the individual was taken into custody and transported for an emergency evaluation.
