Update 10:58pm: A man was shot and killed by a state trooper after an overnight barricade in Carroll County, according to the Maryland Attorney General’s Office.

Update 10:52am: Still waiting on Maryland State Police to issue a press release on the incident (that is the entity handling this incident). I spoke on the phone with them to confirm details I have received but they were unable to confirm at this time as the incident is still under investigation.

Out of respect for the situation I am holding off on the details passed along to me until I get official confirmation.

I would expect at some point (hopefully soon) a press release to be issued from MSP. You can watch here for any press release on the incident: https://news.maryland.gov/msp/press-releases/. As soon as information is released I will update this article.
