Market Tavern (located in Sykesville) has announce they are closing after October 8th. Market Tavern is a gourmet market and neighborhood bar specializing in local beer, classic cocktails and European style tapas.

It is with a very heavy heart that we need to announce the closing of Market Tavern. At this time, we are planning to be open until Saturday, October 8th. Please come visit and share some of your favorite memories with us.

It is with a very heavy heart that I have to report that Market Tavern will be closing its doors on Saturday, October 8th. My landlord delivered an eviction notice on Friday and we have to be out in 30 days. All of this is shocking and surreal. I had a buyer lined up and my landlord will not even entertain the idea. I’m so sorry that I wasn’t able to turn this around. I appreciate each and every one of you for helping.
I am hopeful that another opportunity or location presents itself.
