According to a press release from the Vaud cantonal police, after numerous insults between supporters were noted throughout the match, Geneva supporters managed to leave the visiting sector and enter the stands of the Vaudoise Arena after the final whistle. Shots were allegedly exchanged and the police went inside the rink to intervene. Still according to the cantonal police, the officers should have used their pepper sprays several times to restore order.
As a reminder, Genève-Servette HC won this meeting, the two teams now tied 2-2 in the series. The next meeting will take place in Geneva on Sunday March 29.
