Unsurprisingly, Stéphane Bern re-elected with 100% of the votes

Stéphane Bern was again a candidate during Sunday’s municipal election in France, in his commune of Thiron-Gardais, in Eure-et-Loir. He was elected with 100% of the votes and therefore retains his position as municipal councilor.

This is not a surprise because there was only one list in the town of 960 inhabitants, explains “Le Parisien”. The presenter and specialist in crowned heads and heritage was in 5th place on the unique list, without a label, called “Together for the Future”.

In 2024, the local mayor had resigned, causing a by-election. Stéphane Bern was then elected with 97.3% of the votes.

This time, almost half of the 683 voters voted, even though there was little at stake. 296 votes for the list with the host, in the end. And 17 invalid votes and 25 blank votes, but they are not counted.

Stéphane Bern has lived in this town since 2013. He bought the former royal and military college of Thiron-Gardais there, specifies the French daily. There opened a museum dedicated to the royal colleges of France, open to the public in summer.
