Former reality TV star Loana was found dead on Wednesday at her home in Nice, we learned from the Nice prosecutor, Damien Martinelli, confirming information from “Paris-Match”.
The body of Loana Petrucciani, 48, former star of “Loft Story”, was found at the end of the day, the magistrate told AFP, indicating that an investigation had been opened “in search of the causes of death”.
The first reality TV star in France, Loana rose to fame in 2001 thanks to her participation in “Loft Story”, but also suffered numerous setbacks, between drugs, depression and suicide attempts.
After winning “Loft Story”, in 2006 she participated in another reality TV show hosted by Jean-Pierre Foucault and Christophe Dechavanne in the Brazilian jungle, “I’m a celebrity: get me out of there!”, in which she finished third, the cyclist Richard Virenque having finished in first place.
While multiplying projects, including an album, the young woman then began to make the front page of the news section: discovered lifeless at her home in 2009, she said she had been attacked by two men.
Four years later, she was hospitalized and plunged into a coma after a suicide attempt, with those around her revealing that she had already tried to end her life several times.
