The M6 channel will broadcast on Tuesday the series “Cult”, which recounts the creation of the reality TV show “Loft Story”, in tribute to Loana, former star of the show found dead on Wednesday in Nice, she announced on Thursday.
“Following the emotion aroused by the disappearance of Loana, M6 is offering a special evening on Tuesday March 31 with the unprecedented free-to-air broadcast of the series “Culte”, indicated M6 in a press release.
Initially broadcast in 2024 on Amazon’s streaming platform, Prime Video, “Cult” recounts the immediate and phenomenal success that the show “Loft Story” experienced when it launched in 2001.
France then discovered Loana Petrucciani (her full name), who lived with other anonymous people for ten weeks for 24 hours a day under the gaze of M6 cameras.
“Cult”, which spans two seasons, mixes fiction and real events to tell the behind-the-scenes story of one of the biggest media phenomena to occur in France.
Aged 48, the first reality TV star in France was found lifeless by firefighters on Wednesday at her home near Nice train station.
On Thursday, the city prosecutor indicated that his death could have been due to a fall, without the intervention of a third party.
Loana had gradually left the world of show business and began a long personal decline, between the violence she suffered, health problems, suicide attempts, overdoses and psychiatric episodes.
