They project photos of the Epstein file on Windsor

Activists projected images of Donald Trump and sex criminal Jeffrey Epstein on Tuesday evening onto a tower of Windsor Castle, where the American president will be hosted on Wednesday on a state visit to the United Kingdom, according to images from AFP TV.

The local police announced in a press release the arrest and continued custody of four people suspected of “malicious communications”.

The British group Led by Donkeys (“Led by Donkeys”), whose name appeared during the video editing, organizes often humorous campaigns to demand accountability from political leaders.

For several minutes, portraits of Jeffrey Epstein as well as images of the financier alongside Donald Trump during an evening or newspaper extracts appeared on a tower of the royal residence, located west of London.

“We take any unauthorized activity around Windsor Castle extremely seriously,” said Felicity Parker, a Thames Valley Police official quoted in the press release, assuring that officers “quickly stopped the projection” before arresting the four suspects.

The case of American sex criminal Jeffrey Epstein, who died in prison in 2019, has poisoned the presidency of Donald Trump for several weeks. The Republican leader was close to this financier for a long time, before breaking up with him.

It is also a subject which came to haunt British Prime Minister Keir Starmer this week, who fired his ambassador in Washington, Peter Mandelson, after revelations about the close links between the latter and Epstein.

Even before the American president’s Air Force One plane landed on British soil, dozens of anti-Trump demonstrators gathered in Windsor on Tuesday afternoon to protest against his arrival.

Climate activists also disrupted a dinner hosted by the American Republicans Abroad organization. An activist has accused President Trump of leading the world “down a path toward fascism and climate collapse.”

On Wednesday, thousands of demonstrators planned to protest in London against this state visit, Donald Trump’s second to the United Kingdom, during which the leader planned to avoid the capital and the public.

He will remain confined on Wednesday within the grounds of Windsor Castle where the presidential couple will be the host of King Charles III and Queen Camilla, before joining Prime Minister Keir Starmer on Thursday for a more political and economic day in his country residence of Checkers, 70 km from London.

Mr. Trump’s first state visit to the United Kingdom took place in 2019, during his first term.
