Draw and imbroglio between Lugano and the LS

- Jackson Avery

Lausanne ended her series of defeats in Lugano, another sick team from our Super League. But the LS lost people on the way and could have, there should have undoubtedly had if the VAR regulation had been respected to the letter, lose SOW. The defender was expelled and then recalled by the referee after the hour of play. In the end, the two teams have stopped the ugly impression left in recent weeks, but not sure that Mattia Croci-Torti and Peter Zeidler sleep well after this part.

Von Ballmoos, at the start, made the rock unhappy with a tap, after a pretty volley from the Swedish in the 3rd minute. The new Ticino goalkeeper was still interposed on the corner which followed, taken over by Bair, the new Vaudoise recruit, this time. The Canadian was then preceded by the Swiss international porter in the 22nd. But the former YB ended up blaming himself. The fault of a pretty solo punctuated by a rolled shot from Lekoueiry, after a high recovery of Soppy (equalizing the 51st). On the other hand, he was lucky, being saved by his amount in the 98th on a head of Okoh.

On the other side of the green rectangle, there was a little moment of grace, which made all the difference. The former international Steffen, right the kind of experienced profile that is missing from this LS, invented an opening for Dos Santos, in the back of the Vaudoise defense and a badly aligned Okoh. The latter found himself alone in front of Letica and decided to play it altruistic, offering the 1-0 in Behrens. Dos Santos had already almost scored in the 6th grade, like Behrens three minutes later by the way and once again in the 62nd. But Letica, author of two high -level parades, won a point for his own.

The LS has lost two more units and also (especially?) Rock before the quarter of an hour. Before playing in the cup on Sunday in Concordia Basel, in Sion the following Sunday in Super League, then in Conference League against Breiðablik on Thursday after … long English weeks without the defensive midfielder whose father is English and the grandfather a former Millwall and Crystal Palace player, it would be a new one perhaps even more disturbing than this 5th part without a championship. Especially since Soppy, still warned and therefore suspended, will also miss the trip to Valais, like Diakité, which will always be in the stands.

And to say that SOW should have been expelled around the 70th minute … The Vaud central defender took a 2nd warning for a last resort on Steffen. The Var called Mr. Schnyder so that he saw that it had to be a direct red. But… there was out of the Ticino playmaker just before, so the expulsion was canceled. An angle-mort in the rules of the video that the Ticino asked to clarify by depositing a protest. On the other hand, the Var called Mr. Schnyder after Steffen cheerfully put his two feet in the face of Letica (87th). The latter was expelled as he left the stadium on a stretcher.
