Vehicle Collision Leads to Assault with Baseball Bat in Mount Airy on June 6th

On June 6, 2024, MAPD officers responded to a vehicle collision in the 900 block of South Main Street. During their investigation, officers learned that the driver of the struck vehicle, identified as Amir Tyre Addison-Mallick, had attacked the driver of the other vehicle involved using a baseball bat.

Addison-Mallick was arrested and transported to the Frederick County Detention Center, where he was processed.

Charges against Addison-Mallick include:

  • ASSAULT-FIRST DEGREE
  • ASSAULT-SEC DEGREE
  • RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT
  • MAL DEST PROP/VALU < $1,000
