City of Westminster urge residents to voluntarily reduce water usage

Information from the City of Westminster in Carroll County

Westminster, as well as most of the surrounding area has experienced decreased rainfall over the last few months. Water conservation is always important, but much more so at this time. We are asking residents and non-residents on the city’s water system to be mindful of their water usage.

Some ideas for conservation during this time are:
– Limiting outdoor water use, including the watering of lawns and landscaping.
– Eliminating the use of sprinklers and other automatic watering devices.
– Use the dishwasher and washing machine only with full loads.

Thank you! Every Drop Counts!

See this information on the City of Westminster website.

We are seeing some major improvement in regard to our drought. The severe drought category is much smaller and covers less of Carroll County. Still not out of it entirely but we’re moving in the right direction.
