Today is Election Day for four municipalities in Carroll County (Hampstead, New Windsor, Union Bridge and Westminster). Here is information about each election:

Hampstead: https://hampsteadmd.gov/

TUESDAY, MAY 9, 2023 – 7:00 AM TO 8:00 PM – 1034 S. CARROLL STREET

Two members of the Town Council and a Mayor will be elected.

Incumbents Mayor Chris Nevin, Council Member Deborah Painter, and Council Member David Unglesbee are running to retain their seats.

If you are a registered voter in the County and a resident within the incorporated Town limits, you are eligible to vote in Town elections.

New Windsor: https://newwindsormd.gov/

The Town of New Windsor will hold a municipal election on Tuesday, May 9th, 2023.

Voting will take place in the Meeting Room at 209 High Street, (Town Hall) from 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.

There are three (3) Council seats available for this election.

Candidates include: Thomas Gubernatis, David Hoffman, Kimberlee Schultz, Betty Windsor, and Frank Windsor Jr.

MAYOR AND TWO MEMBERS OF THE COUNCIL WILL BE ELECTED.

ELECTION DAY IS TUESDAY, MAY 9, 2023: 7:00 A.M., TO 8:00 P.M.

LOCATION: TOWN HALL, 104 WEST LOCUST STREET

Candidates include:

  • Mayor: Perry L. Jones Jr.
  • Council: Lou ELLEN Cutsail, Bret Grossnickle, and Edgar Wentz

Westminster: https://www.westminstermd.gov/

The City of Westminster will hold a General Election tomorrow, Tuesday, May 9, 2023, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.

The election is for three (3) members of the Common Council of the City of Westminster for four years commencing on May 15, 2023.

Residents who reside on the west side of Maryland 31 vote at the Westminster Community Building at the Westminster Municipal Pool. Located at 325 Royer Road, Westminster, MD 21158.

Residents who reside on the east side of Maryland 31 vote at the Westminster Fire Company. Located at 28 John Street, Westminster, MD 21157.

Candidates include: Kevin Dayhoff, Ann Gilbert, Greg Pecoraro and Dr. Scott Willens
