Candidate Information / Statement:
I am the only candidate with prosecutorial experience. As a former felony narcotics prosecutor for City of Baltimore I handed over 40 trials and convened Grand Juries. I received special prosecutor training at the Department of Justice in South Carolina. When elected I will implement the first Veterans Court to serve the over 11,000 veterans in Carroll County. This will not cost taxpayers one cent. I will strengthen and improve youth programs to educate our students about the criminal justice system. The more educated they are, the less likely they will want to be in the system. I am the attorney for both the Carroll County Republican Central Committee and the Carroll County Veterans Independence Project. My wife and I live in Carroll County with our two children (ages 12 and 9) who attend our great public schools. Unlike my opponent I plan to stay here and keep Carroll County safe for your family and mine as your next State’s Attorney.

The State’s Attorney is a vital cog in the public safety machine that has to work in tandem with the brave men and women of law enforcement to keep Carroll the safest county in Maryland. As one who has practiced criminal law for 30 years, the law enforcement community knows that I am the only person in this race who has the wherewithal to keep the bad guys off of the street. This is why I have received the endorsements of Sheriff Jim DeWees, the Carroll County Fraternal Order of Police, and our current State’s Attorney, Allan Culver.
