Every month I pick 5 stocks to watch (as part of a stock market fantasy game with family and friends). Here are my selections for April 2022:
Laredo Petroleum, Inc. (LPI): $84.46
This stock is currently rated as a HOLD…but I decided to give it a go in April. I like the long term outlook for this stock as a future keep in my portfolio for future months.

- Short Term: Bullish
- Mid Term: Bullish
- Long Term: Bullish
Halliburton Company (HAL): $38.58
This stock is currently rated as a STRONG BUY…of my 5 picks this month this one concerns me the most but I am hoping for a good run with it. The Yahoo short term outlook (see below) on the short term with this stock may trip me up this month but I am hoping the Strong Buy offsets that in April.

- Mid Term: Neutral
- Long Term: Bullish
Schlumberger Limited (SLB): $41.69
This stock is currently rated as a STRONG BUY…I like the numbers of this stock on the short and possibly long term in my portfolio.

Marathon Oil Corporation (MRO): $25.75
This stock has been part of my portfolio all of 2022 to date. This stock is rated as a BUY…and I plan to stick with this one through the summer if it continues to produce for my portfolio.

- Long Term: Bullish
American Resources Corporation (AREC): $2.6200
I like to have at least one “penny stock” in my portfolio. This stock is rated as a BUY…and I like the potential for the long term with this stock. Hopefully it pays off in the short term this month.

After the 1st quarter of 2022 I current sit in 3rd overall of the 6 active players (and 8 total players). After winning the game in 2021 I am hoping for a strong bounce in the 2nd quarter.
