The website “Maryland High School Football Scores” has released their new RPI rankings this week for Varsity High School Football in Maryland. Three high school teams in Carroll County are currently sitting in the Top 20 after week 6:

  • #11 – Westminster High (5-1 record)
  • #18 – Liberty High (4-2 record)
  • #20 – South Carroll High (6-0 record)

Author notes:

It is interesting to see South Carroll ranked #20 and Westminster ranked #11 given that South Carroll defeated Westminster earlier this season (by a score of 24 to 21 on September 17th) and South Carroll remains unbeaten on the season.

Maryland High School Football Scores provided their ranking “Methodology” on their website here: https://mdfootballscores.com/rankings/

It is great to see three schools from Carroll County in the top 20 of the state of Maryland…that shows real strength in the varsity high school football programs in the county.
