Bomb threat reported at Carroll Community College on July 8th; No evidence of a credible threat was located

The following was reported by the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office on July 8th:

“Bomb threat reported at Carroll Community College”

Westminster, Carroll County, Maryland; July 8, 2022 —- On Friday, July 8, 2022, at approximately 11:55am, Carroll County Sheriff’s Office Deputies were dispatched to Carroll Community College, located at 1601 Washington Road, Westminster, for the report of a bomb threat.

Carroll Community College Campus Security evacuated the buildings and the buildings were searched. No evidence of a credible threat was located.

Carroll Community College announced they would be closed for the remainder of the day (July 8, 2022).

The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office is continuing the investigation. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Detective Herold at 410-386-5900, or djherold@carrollcountymd.gov.
