Early voting in the 2022 Primary in Maryland began on July 7th (and runs through July 14th).
Here is a breakdown of early votes cast by location in Carroll County on Day 1 (July 7th) in the 2022 Primary (per the State Board of Elections website)
North Carroll Senior Center : 146
South Carroll Senior Center : 205
Westminster Senior Center: 435
Total votes cast on Day 1 : 786
The Carroll County Board of Elections reported 810 total votes cast on Day 1:
The Observer reached out to the Carroll County Board of Elections on July 8th to try and understand the discrepancy between the reported numbers on day 1 from the local Board of Elections and the State Board of Elections…that did not go well and I will try again this weekend to reach out for a better understanding of the differences in the numbers from day 1.
