Candidate Information / Statement:

I am a Christian. When I was 21, I married the love of my life, Annie, and now we have two wonderful daughters. Lime many of you, I grew up in Carroll County. A little bit more about my background is that I have an associate’s degree in accounting from Carroll Community College. I was good at accounting but ironically the tax part of accounting was the part I least enjoyed, so I would apply to the University of Baltimore’s Entrepreneurship Fellows program and be accepted. I have a bachelor’s degree in business administration with the specialization of entrepreneurship. My educational background does qualify me to handle large budgets such as Carroll County’s $600 million budget. Though I’ve started a few companies, I currently work in IT, despite not having an educational background in information technology. However, my success in this career path proves that I am a fast learner. I am running because we have a lack of conservative leadership in Carroll County. Our current county commissioners are blatant RINOs, so I’m stepping up to fight for my community. We need county commissioners that will not outsources our votes to an unelected county administrator. We need county commissioners that respect the US and Maryland constitutions. We need county commissioners who will protect children, an issue that has become extremely apparent in recent months. And we need county commissioners who will keep Carroll County from becoming as unrecognizable as our neighboring counties have become. Lastly inflation is tax hike on us all, which is why we need commissioners who will not increase local taxes. We need to elect real conservatives in Carroll County which is why I am the ideal choice for District 1.

Candidate Information / Statement:

I grew up in Carroll County, went to public school. I graduated Westminster High School, where I was a class president, and President of Westminster Future Farmers of America. I attended college at University of Maryland at College Park. I graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Crop Science Agronomy. I have worked in the Agribusiness area of Carroll County for over 30 years. I have managed multi-million dollar locations, and operated a seasonal roadside market for 38 years, profitably. I fully support our local Law Enforcement, Fire Departments, Schools, and Veterans Organizations. I have the skill set to work with a varied group of people, and the human resource skills to communicate my point. I am committed to principal, and stand for what is right. I will use my decades of business background and experience to maximize the efficiencies for our tax dollars. As a Commissioner, I will make decisions that are best for the taxpayers, citizens, and businesses of Carroll County. There is no substitute for life experience in shaping decisions. I offer a very unique perspective, for the voters of Carroll County.

Candidate Information / Statement:

I’m seeking office out of love for home. Here in Carroll, we still believe in God, in family, in parental rights, in individual rights, in law enforcement, in timeless values, in hard work, in real education, in agriculture, in all the things that make us who we are. These are things we love, and these are things worth protecting. As a third-term member of the City Council of Taneytown, where I serve as both Mayor Pro Tem and liaison to our Police Department, I’ve backed our police, cut water and sewer rates, never voted to raise taxes, have opposed excess development, and have supported pro-family and pro-business policies, and much more. It’s this kind of experience I’ll bring to service at the county level through the next four years.
