Boys & Girls Club of Westminster named its Youth of the Year recipients at their Youth of the Year Gala on April 28, 2022 at the Carroll Arts Center. Youth of the Year is Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s premiere youth leadership program, honoring extraordinary young people and their achievements in leadership, service, academics excellence and dedication to living a healthy lifestyle. The Westminster Club has expanded this National Program to also honor youth at the middle and elementary age. The recipients of this award will be the official spokespersons for the Boys & Girls Club of Westminster and serve as role models for more than 600 club youth throughout Carroll County. As Boys & Girls Club of Westminster’s Youth of the Year, Miss Jamison Welsh, a sophomore at Winters Mill High School will receive the $500 Albers Family Scholarship. Jamison will represent the Boys & Girls Club of Westminster as she competes for the title of Maryland State Youth of the Year on May 17, 2022.

Junior Youth of the Year – Emma Hughes

Elementary Youth of the Year – Itzel Ambrosia

Rising Star – Ethan Rodriguez

Youth of the Year recipients were also chosen at our Community Impact Sites:

North Carroll Middle – Owen Davis

Northwest Middle – Aaliyah Andrew

Sykesville Middle – Connor Metzler
