Hampstead Police Department (Carroll County) report multiple thefts from automobiles this past weekend

Hampstead Police Department, Maryland reported the following on May 2nd:

Theft from Automobiles

There have been multiple reports of theft from automobiles this past weekend. Between the overnight hours of Friday 4/29/22 into Saturday 4/30/22, vehicles parked in the 800 Blk of Century St were entered by unknown suspects resulting in various items taken. The same happened to vehicles parked in the 1700 Blk of Upper Forde Ln between the overnight hours of Saturday 4/30/22 into Sunday 5/1/22. In each of these incidents, suspects gained entry due to vehicles being left unlocked. Items ranging from cash/credit cards, wallets, drivers’ licenses, electronics, etc., have been reported as stolen. We do not have any suspect information at this time. We want to remind everyone to secure their valuables and lock their vehicles. Don’t fall victim to a crime of opportunity.
